The following is a list of rules and regulations regarding the use of Claris Networks’ Albino Bowler and posting on this site. If you are a Claris employee, please take the time to familiarize yourself with these rules to ensure the safety of the Albino Bowler (and any innocent by-standers) as well as the authenticity of this site.
1. No Photoshop
Photos submitted to the site cannot be modified or touched up in manner… in other words, the pictures must be 100% authentic. Camera tricks, however, are completely acceptable. If you’d like to take a picture that makes it look like the Albino Bowler is holding up the Leaning Tower of Pisa, no problem, just be sure to take the appropriate “proof” picture to go along with it.
2. “Proof” Picture
If you are taking pictures that involve some sort of trick photography, be sure to snap a picture of yourself posed with the Albino Bowler at the site as well so there is no question as to the authenticity of the photo. These pictures may or may not appear on the site itself, but we’d like to have them just for reference.
3. Carry-on Kind of Guy
If you plan to fly with the Albino Bowler, we ask that you keep him in your carry-on luggage. Checked baggage is lost on a regular basis these days… no need to put him at risk (he’s pretty well priceless at this point)
4. Conflict Resolution
Should a scheduling conflict arise, the Albino Bowler Board will vote to resolve the conflict. The criteria for voting is as follows –
- Blog history of the person taking the trip: Has the person making the request been on a trip with the Albino Bowler before, and if so, did they bring back pictures and provide good content for the site (the Albino Bowler has supposedly been to other locations not mentioned in this blog… but we have no photographic proof).
- Repeatability / Uniqueness of the trip: Is one proposed trip more easily reproducible than the other? While no two trips will ever be the same, some destinations are simply easier to get to. For example, someone climbing Mt. Everest will get preference over someone going to Stone Mountain, Georgia.
5. No Obscenity
This one really goes without saying. The thealbinobowler.com site is a company sponsored site, and as such the pictures and posts should represent the company well.
